Title (article) Integrated Acoustooptical Tunable Filters for Optical Fiber Transmission Lines with Wave-length-Division Multiplexing
Authors Lipinski A.Y., Rudiakova A.N., Danilov V.V.
Kiev, Ukraine
Annotation It is shown, that the optical fiber line (OFTL) is the main type of modern transmission lines which is adequate to rising requirements on throughput capacity. In order to decrease the distortions introduced of such a line, the wavelength-division multiplexing is to be used. The analysis of integrated acoustooptical tunable filters (IAOTF) as to prospects of their using is conducted. The methods of their frequency char-acteristics’ sidelobe reduction are presented, because of this issue is the main source of large interchannel crosstalk. Fig.: 8. Refs.: 35 titles.
Key words acoustooptical filter, apodization, sidelobes, integrated optics, surface acoustic waves.
